There are 6 sessions held fortnightly with a bonus 7th session. Each session will advance the participants’ understanding of issues regarding getting the maximum potential from their business.
The sessions will be interactive and activity based, where applicable, and the emphasis will be on learning by doing. Participants will be required to put relevant learning into practice in their business and provide feedback to the group on successes and challenges.
Each participant will receive two books that are included in the registration fee. They are Brad Sugars’ books Instant Cashflow and Instant Profit. Participants will also be encouraged to read or listen to other recommended books, etc.
1 ON 1 COACHING
Winning results for your business …
One size does not fit all businesses so we work with each business owner to address their specific needs and tailor the delivery of coaching material according to their needs and circumstances.
In 1-on-1 Coaching the coach and the client meet regularly to work on the business. With technologies such as Zoom or Skype this meeting need not be face-to-face if you are not within easy reach. We even coach clients by phone if they are not near a computer.
A typical session starts with the owner giving an account of their activities and challenges since the previous meeting. The coach clarifies and then discusses options and educates the client on actions to take. The coach and the client then work on strategies to move forward with the current 90-day plan and they agree on goals to be achieved by the next meeting. Between meetings the coach is available through e-mail, telephone and SMS to answer questions and critique work done by the client.
Fact: Most small businesses don’t have a Business Plan – in our experience most small business owners do hardly any planning. This means that their businesses run them, rather than them running and driving their businesses.
Not knowing where you want to go with your business makes it impossible to get there, simply because you don’t know where “there” is. Therefore, every one of our coaching programs include a Business Plan as part of our initial “Alignment” process with each client.
Business Plans are created in a collaborative workshop spanning one or two days (depending on the size and complexity of the business) using our proprietary cloud-based software that incorporates financial modelling tools and a unique strategy builder.
For smaller businesses or departments or business units in a larger business we recommend our 1-day, 1-Page Plan. The information behind the plan is rock solid and includes monthly cashflow forecasts for the first year and annual forecasts for the following 4 years.
Effective succession planning starts with a valuation and detailed review of your business. This is followed by the identification of key people to fill leadership positions within the business and implement development plans to ensure that they have the required skills. Developing and implementing business systems to streamline processes and reporting systems forms part of this process. Developing the rest of the team to take on the responsibilities of those who are stepping into leadership roles provides confidence and career progression for every team member.
Ever heard business owners say that their people are the business’s biggest asset? Yet very few invest in their people. In “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” Stephen Covey states that “Your employees will treat your best customers (or clients) exactly like they perceive you (the business owner) treats them.” (paraphrased) See, it is not about how you think you treat the team that matters, it is how they feel you treat them that matters.
Team Building is a powerful tool to ensure that your team members are all on the same page, that they all know (and have bought into) where the company is going and that they have the skills to excel at whatever comes their way. Building trust is all about you trusting your team to do the right thing and the team knowing that you have their backs, no matter what.
The power of a team is not in “sameness”, but in “togetherness” – accepting that everybody is different and capitalising on these “differences” to create a strong team working towards achieving a common goal for the benefit of all parties. Our Teambuilding workshops are tailored to address the specific issues at play in each organisation with the aim of increasing acceptance, building trust, team spirit, culture and improved communication skills.
DiSC behaviour profiling is recognised as one of the best tools for determining individual behavior styles and is based on answers provided by respondents to 24 groups of four statements from which they select one that is most like, and one that is least like him or her.
Every individual has more or less of each of the 4 traits – Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Consiensusness which translates into their specific behavioural and communication style. Understanding this help teams and individuals to improve their communications.
DiSC is a very useful tool in the recruitment process to match an applicant’s natural style with that required by the role. The better the match, the greater the chances of success in the role. A particular DiSC style does not mean that a person is unsuitable for a position – it just means that the required behaviour does not come naturally to the applicant.
